if you want to fight stereotypes, there's no better way to break outside of your culture and learn (not appropriate, but LEARN) other cultures -- become an honest, knowledgeable, mix of cultural interests outside of the normal. But learn it, don't just grab it because you like it; learn it to its core. It's a part of you if you UNDERSTAND it.
