Going to start to shift the artwork over to something that can -eventually- be silk-screen printed. (Yeah, I know silk screens are not vegan -- I'm looking for other options.) With my recent move, I'm now able to take classes to learn how to print and produce artwork in a form that people seem to take more seriously than computer prints.
Veganism is basically strict vegetarianism. We -try- to avoid all animal exploitation. Overall, the drive is to reduce the suffering our impact/existence has.
This includes all consumption -- clothing, health/beauty, art supplies, furniture, and so on. Avoiding leather is easy. Avoiding products that were tested on animals requires more study and information. Avoiding some medicines can be tricky (I will still use antibiotics when I need them). No vegan can live 'pure', to be truthful -- but doing what each individual can is not as hard as it seems. I was able to find vegan ink for my tattoo for instance
Many times - black ink/pigments are made with bone-char... so, animal bones included in the ink (hope you're not sorry you asked -- I'm not trying to ruin this for anyone).
I love silk screening! I think it would be fantastic with your style if you end up doing it. Good luck with finding vegan friendly inks and whatever else you need for it (I don't have much knowledge of the actual process of making a screen, but I have used premade screens before and it was hella fun!)
i have seen a small personal screen printing machine... not thinking it'd be feasible for fine art prints, necessarily, but for doing shirts and other items it's pretty fast and cheap if you made multiples of a design. a bit time consuming but i've watched it done and it's not difficult at least... not sure what the screens are made of but thought you might enjoy to peek at the specs. love the recent art
Whoa, didn't know veganism applied to things other than food and drink.

The inks can be a problem. But I've found vegan inks online.
I probably won't be taking classes for screening till after the Summer anyway. But I'm going to start balancing the artwork to work as screens now.
Also, I can buy things online now. It's dangerous. And alluring.
