Using a dual display -- one side Mac, the other side a crappy ViewSonic. I've been using the ViewSonic side of the set-up for pallet windows, chat screens, and so on. But recently, I put the web browser window to the ViewSonic side while previewing my DA gallery... the colors of my work show ungodly awful.

I hope many of you can see the vividness of my color schemes, and not the muddy mix of bleak reds and blues I get from my lesser screen. I really don't have the time to calibrate my uploads for web specific colors.

The difference is night and day.

That happens with most computers. It's because the colors are not matched up. So no matter what it's not going to look the same from one computer to the next. Especially if you're printing...

I think all of your stuff looks amazing on my end though. Huge inspiration ;)

I'm on a a good quality HP monitor here and I suspect I'm not getting the full impact of your colours. But I correct for my monitor in my head all the time.

It's the difference in gamma correction. Macs use a gamma of 2.2, PC's are 1.0. I try to aim for 1.6 on my Linux box.

It looks good on my macbook, but I do notice when I upload stuff here, it's majorly dulled down if I upload a file I saved in PS. To remedy that, I've been taking screenshots (PNG) of my images and uploading those instead. For some reason, that preserves the bright colors.
