(this is an attempt from a non religious, pro gay person to make a religious argument, just for you)

But the bible says that you're not supposed to lie with (I don't remember the wording, seeing as I haven't read it) some one of the same gender! So by allowing same-sex marrage you'd be being un christian! And anyways, how could they have sex?!
But really, wouldn't that be mixing church and state? And just because some law makers aren't 'down' with the whole gay/lesbian/bisexual thing doesn't mean they have the right to silence them. And anyway, it's either artificial insemination or adoption, and we need more adoption. There are far too many people it the world.
