hahahh wow. that question sure can boggle the mind. my answer is that human behavior can sure suck sometimes.
this is definatly a favorite.

-my only confusion is why didnt you use the whole space in the last square for the image? that white space leaves me empty...

Maybe the lock guy slept with the key guy's wife so he got angry, chased after him and hit him dead with his key...

Or maybe it's the man who is unable to see the secrets behind something locked away even if he has the gift to unlock it, and destroys everything he cannot understand, due to his infinite dumb and primitive behaiviour?

Or maybe the lock guy stole the key man's purse...
