Waterbear -- able to withstand temperature extremes; able to deal with pressure extremes, shrugs off radiation dosage capable of killing most life, can dry up like a grain of sand and be brought back to life with rehydration, a species that has existed for over 500-million years, has over 1,000 related species, etc, etc, etc...
