I'm one of those people who believe in something higher then human understanding and science, but I refuse to base my system of thought on some book that has been ripped up, edited, rewritten, revamped, poorly translated, mistakenly interpreted, and generally changed over to reflect the desires of old power hungry men for over 2,000 years. It's just a good idea not to make laws on a set of text that contradicts itself so often. I will stick to common sense, logic and the general idea that for every action, there is a reaction.
There are few variations between the various original manuscripts, mostly mispellings, and incorrect congugations. If you really wanted to eliminate the white man, you should learn green and hebrew, and get the most legit content. Unless, you are saying even that content is hokey, but on the comment of misinterpretation(s), there are more variations between hand copied editions of respected literature that is less than 500 years old, than there are in the dead sea scrolls etc. Nice gallery.
*laughs* The most diplomatic car attatchment I've seen yet. It's very ...refreshing, I think, to see someone taking a mature and reasoned approach to the matter, as opposed to "God is ineffable" or equally bad "Religion suckors" tack.
Anyway, onto the art. I dig it - the monochrome is really striking here, but then again, I love monochrome. The artwork is simple enough not to distract one from the message, but the bold lines and straight-forwardness seem to accentuate the idea of using common sense to get your own clearcut answers.
Then again, maybe I'm overanalysing. Nice stuff, anyway.
I agree. I feel that you need to believe what you need/want/wish to believe. Dictation of beliefs just seems to constrain them and inadvertently keeps you from expanding your thought.
