Are you sure you have a point to make - or are you just pissed that someone had a point better, and yet disagreeable to your own?
Do you know what you are talking about - or are you venting something someone else told you because you feel like you should?
Can you hold a serious debate - or are you out to make other people feel angry?
Before you open your mouth and shove your foot in clear to the back of your skull - seriously stop and consider if there is anything to be gained by what you have to say that doesn't involve your heated emotional state...

i am 100% in agreement with you... i have a roomate who is exactly like that. it is so incredibly distressing to know that he is trying to make his point better or just anger us. everything he says is spoken to make himself look better. it is his only motive.
