Like the biblical bush that burned but did not consume itself, our Bush only speaks in assumed righteous dogma. Only... this Bush that we have now - DOES consume itself, and everything he touches. Any righteousness has been lost long ago in a sea of paranoia, rhetoric, intolerance, and ignorance. The more I read without watching the television, the more I see of this Bush as he continues to burn bridges, options, and goodwill towards our nation...
But all I can do is yell and watch in frustration as this Bush continues on, never realizing that nothing will protect the old status quo - no matter how many nations he torches. There is not enough to go around for Americans to continue to live in excess. Only equality will decrease the numbers of hateful extremists. Violence only creates more violence. Those who preach righteousness have historically been the ones that bring destruction; only those who are willing to admit the evil in their nation can save it.
