Something happens. People get upset. But then others who are out to defend the indefensible, start to lure people into bickering about the details. When they are successful - we wind up missing what was center to the whole event - we lose sight of what went wrong. When that happens, people escape responsibility, victims see no justice, and the problem never goes away...
The next time someone tries to change the subject or clog the issue with unimportant details - move on. It's just a tactic to avoid admission of the obvious.
This one expresses a great idea in a simple and funny way. *respect*
Sometimes we really DO miss the point >.>
(I mean that is an impressed and serious way)
"Someone could walk into this room and say, 'Your life is on fire... It's all over the evening news...all about the fire in your life on the evening news...' "
Which I know really has nothing to do with the actual point of this piece. It just started playing in my head. You illustrate a good point. It frustrates me to see how often people (no matter the issue) refuse to see what is around them and refuse to hear it explained and deny its existence wholeheartedly.
