CEO pay is out of control. It no longer factors in capitalistic terms. Business owners and investors cannot control it. CEOs inflate their own self worth to a circle of executives who feed that inflation so they can inflate their pay as well. These people are not masters of capitalism, they are a class of ultra privileged people -- acting like a royalty, hoarding their wealth and power, using illusions of value to maintain their grasp. They are the same as the monarchs of ancient history.

In the last decade, US CEO pay has increased over %400 while average US worker salaries remain stagnant. Today, executive pay is between 250 to 500 times what their own employees are paid. No tax cut to businesses to aid investment in hiring new employees would benefit the economy as much as simply paying CEOs less -- based on ACTUAL job and market performance -- and spreading the saved monies down through to the employee wages and costs of new hirings.

Recent events have brought CEO wages down, but only because the money to pay them more simply isn't there -- it still does not reflect the full reality of the capitalist system. WE must bring their wages in line all over the world.

If we fail to do this, we will find ourselves at the mercy of greedy individuals who just don't (cannot) understand the desperation of the world's population. Not even the CEOs should want that -- such a situation has always emerged just before the collapse of great civilizations.

Despite what many anarchists think of me, I do not want the system to collapse -- I want it to WORK. Hammering the CEOs down to size is a perfect step toward that goal.
