BushLooksSafer by pseudo-manitou BushLooksSafer by pseudo-manitou
Creating yet another security agency on top of several other antiquated security agencies, and then under-funding that agency - is not safer. Dividing a nation from it's allies with diplomatic actions that only resemble an ape beating it's chest - is not safer. Ignoring the fact that we don't like - is not safer. Lying about the status of every situation to every decision maker and ally - is not safer. Creating a culture war within our nation rather then dealing with the problems that face us - is not safer. Smashing open a hornets nest of a nation without a plan - is not safer. Making promises to other nations with no intentions of keeping those promises - is not safer. Removing one hostile leader from power while creating an environment for several more to rise up - is not safer. Poking every enemy we have all at once - is not safer. Constantly making threats such as: "for us or against us" - is not safer. Never allowing this nation to investigate the real source of security and military failures - is not safer.

Imperialism and isolationism are pretty much opposites, I believe..?

And yet they want both -- which is part of why policies of the Bush administration do not work.
loveinavoid Featured By Owner Nov 7, 2007
Ah, I see what you are trying to say then.

Your artwork would make some pretty kickass stencils, I think.

conley Featured By Owner Jul 31, 2004
I disagree you can do something well and portray a message i disagree with.

ok im sorry to ruin the shower of positive inputs but ive been looking over some of your art and i must say u have a huge problem with... everything, yes the USA has problems but its still one of the greatest countries in the world. throw in all the guns and poverty and bad television and its still better than almost anywhere else. bush isnt some evil deamon that wants to eat our kids and if your that certein he is then why dont you move to iraq where all the luxury really is?
(ps: nothing personal i love most of your work)

America is NOT the greatest country in the world:
We rank far behind Norway, Sweden, Canada, Belgium, and Australia in average measure of the quality of life. The US doesn't even rank among the top 20 in life expectancy rates, or low infant mortality rate, or literacy... LITERACY! The US ranks 11th cleanest, 7th highest CO2 emissions, 2nd for highest number of people in prison... the statistics are terrible across the board.
Our health care system is a joke, our education system ranks far behind many UN nations...
The only thing the US can boast is highest amount (not the average) of wealth and the largest military.

It is the very arrogance, from people like you, that make America's problems so difficult to solve: no one feels like making an effort if they can fool themselves and think they sit on the highest peak.

Dig up the statistics yourself and you'll see. We have a long way to go before we can claim any superiority.

Stop using Iraq like it's the only other option - that was flat out ignorant of you. If I could move to Canada - I would. But, they're too flooded with illegal immigrants from America right now.

(ps: If you don't know better then this - then my work is not meant for you; it's wasted on the likes of you.)

MAn, this great political stuff should be on T-Shirts....WAnt I should refer you to a good silkscreener?
serratedangel Featured By Owner May 14, 2004
Wildly directional. The implied lines, both diagonal along the side, horizontal with the top portion, and the Downward Vertical of the Year shake the viewer's focal track almost violently, but appropriately. Characteristically tidy and bold imagery, but still very jarring. AwesomeAwesomeAwesome.

Great political piece, the imagery is great and supports your points nicely.

I normally don't like political art, but... For some reason, I find this pic very funny. Funny because it is indeed symbolically true.
n0deal Featured By Owner Mar 16, 2004  Hobbyist Digital Artist
I find it interesting that Bush is in the birdcage so to speak with the dove that might have rightly been inside lays dead on the ground. Great symbolism throughout this piece.

Most completely agreed. How many supprters do you think the moron actually has left now that he's alienated every minority group in the country? Counting down to the election...
